The Startup Manager gives you control over the programs that are automatically started by Windows, and offers you detailed information about each one of them, including advice about what the program does and whether you should disable it or not. Advanced Task Manager includes a huge knowledge base containing startup program descriptions.

The upper list contains the programs that are set to run when your computer
starts. You can use the Remove button to remove a program from this list,
so it won't start anymore.
Or, if you are not sure if you want a certain program to start or not, you can
just disable the program by pressing the Disable button. When you press
the Disable button, the program won't start anymore at system startup,
and it will be moved to the disabled programs list, in the lower panel. You can
at any time enable a program by pressing the Enable button.
The Show more info button shows more information about the program you
have selected and allows you to search the Internet for more information about
the selected program. Advanced Task Manager includes a huge knowledge base
containing startup program descriptions.
